








Carlos Plazas has been growing coffee for over 40 years, but that hasn’t stopped him from continuing to learn and experiment. A third-generation producer, Carlos has spent the last several years focused on improving quality through better infrastructure, picker training, and updated processing techniques—changes that started after having his coffee evaluated at a quality lab in 2018. Today, he’s passing on everything he’s learned to his children, with the hope that the farm can remain a sustainable source of income for his family in the years ahead.
