Lourdes Yanguez is 38 and has been related to coffee for her entire life since she was born and raised on a coffee farm. Her family used to have a beneficiary and large fields, which later on they divided between the offspring. Lourdes ended up with La Llorona, a 50 years-old farm of 100 hectares, where they have vegetables, fruits, and cattle, besides coffee.
La Llorona has 20 hectares dedicated to coffee production, where they’ve planted 80,000 coffee trees of Catuai and Caturra varieties. The main harvest goes from December to February. Once they collect the cherries they immediately take them to the Creativa’s wet mill, where we process the beautiful coffee you now own.
CREATIVA COFFEE DISTRICT
Creativa Coffee District (formerly Cafetalera Central) is an old coffee processing facility in Chiriquí province. It was an important part of the country's coffee industry history and it's managers have recently transformed it into a modern, state-of-the-art processing facility. The facility now combines art and specialty coffee to inspire the industry to support new production standards that ensure higher incomes for producers and sustainable ecological practices.
We invite you to INSPIRE and be Mindful. Notes of Raspberry, Orange Liqueur and milk chocolate.
